Lilian Greenwood MP

Lilian Greenwood MP

Lilian Greenwood has served as the Member of Parliament for Nottingham South since 2010, representing communities across the city including Clifton Village.

Over more than a decade in Parliament, she has been known for her commitment to local issues, from supporting public services to championing better transport links for residents and businesses.

First elected in May 2010, Lilian brings a strong record of constituency engagement and policy work that reflects the diverse needs of Nottingham South.

A Nottingham resident herself, Lilian makes it a priority to stay connected with local groups, organisations and individuals. She regularly visits community events, holds constituency surgeries and meets with residents to hear their views on issues that matter most in Clifton Village — including health services, education, housing, and local infrastructure.

In Parliament, Lilian has been actively involved in transport policy and local investment. Her roles have included Chair of the Transport Select Committee and more recently serving in government roles focusing on transport and roads. This work has sought to ensure that Nottingham’s transport network supports economic opportunity and sustainable growth.

Lilian currently holds the role of Minister for Local Transport and is also a Government Whip.
